  MOBJE is an objet d'art brand born from Fujii Hat, a hat manufacturing company founded in Onomichi, Japan in 1948.
  We are spreading our hat-making as a "three-dimensional object close to the body" to spaces from an interior design perspective.

  Philosophy
  Trees standing quietly in the forest and stone surfaces etched by the passage of time possess a presence that inexplicably draws the heart.
  On the other hand, spaces and objects arranged by people are imbued with an orderly presence that shows the traces of thought and manual work.
  MOBJE is crafted by drawing inspiration from the allure that dwells in the ambiguous yet rich expanse between presence that arises by itself from nature, and presence created by human intention.
  Crafted one by one by artisans using hat-making techniques, MOBJE's interior objets d'art are surprisingly lightweight and possess a "soft strength" that won't crack or chip, achieved through a unique sewing technique of hand-sewing manually making braided materials into three-dimensional forms.
  A texture that invites your touch, colors and shapes that resonate with the space.
  The way your imagination suddenly opens up the moment you see it or pick it up.
  We believe that the presence found in the "in-between," a space that is neither entirely natural nor artificial, draws in the gaze within a space and brings about a beauty that sparks creativity.

  Craftmanship
  The basis of MOBJE lies in the hat-making knowledge and techniques that Fujii Hat Co., Ltd. has cultivated over the many years since its founding in 1948 in Onomichi City, Hiroshima Prefecture.
  We began manufacturing straw hats as a local industry shortly after the war, and we have continued to make a wide variety of hats while gradually expanding our range of materials and manufacturing methods.
  The knowledge to create materials from a single thread, and the techniques to precisely craft complex shapes.
  The accumulated expertise cultivated through hat-making as "three-dimensional objects close to the body" is also a powerful asset in creating objets d'art placed in a space, serving as a solid foundation that supports MOBJE's uniqueness.
  MOBJE's activities are also an effort to spread these techniques and knowledge to interior design, thus bringing its value to more places and carrying it into the future.

  And continuing to craft them with care and a sense of responsibility for making things that will be used for a long time.

  Material
  At MOBJE, we use natural materials and design everything from the yarn, which serves as the basic structure, to the weaving methods, textures, and even the expressions of color that emerge from them.
  Additionally, by adjusting the structure and density of soft materials originally used for hats, we reconfigure them as materials that maintain their shape and possess the strength to stand on their own as objets d'art.
  MOBJE considers both creating materials from scratch and redesigning existing ones to be part of the same extension of craftsmanship.
